Peter started his training as a pianist in Sheffield at the age of six and rapidly progressed to a Distinction in Piano Grade 8 with The Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music. He then went on to study at the prestigious Leeds College Of Music followed by St Andrews University. He is a Licentiate of The Guildhall School of Music and holds an Advanced Diploma in Jazz. Peter went on to become a professional pianist and has had extensive experience playing at weddings, corporate events and private parties. Peter is also the organist at St James Church Woodhouse in Sheffield.

In addition to playing professionally Peter also has a wealth of experience as a private piano teacher, he taught Advanced Music Theory at The Rotherham Music Centre for eight years and now teaches as a peripatetic piano teacher at Sheffield Springs Academy, where he played at their official opening for the then Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

He has a large repertoire which includes classical pieces, romantic ballads, standards, show tunes, smooth jazz and pop. Peter is always happy to discuss the choice of music with you and will be careful to select the music for your special occasion in accordance with your wishes.

Should your venue not have a suitable acoustic piano Peter is able to provide a top of the range Roland RD700GX full size digital piano (the audio tracks on this website were all recorded on the Roland digital piano) .For the ultimate in sound quality the digital piano is played through a state of the art Bose compact PA system which is uniquely designed to project high quality sound uniformly throughout the room.

For the wedding service Peter will play while the guests arrive, for the arrival of the bride, through the signing of the registers (usually music of your own choice) and at the end of the service. He will then play during the drinks reception and the wedding breakfast until the speeches begin.
